Open Science Services of the University Library of Würzburg
Increase the visibility of your research outputs and ensure their long-term availability. Our Open Science services are here to support you at every stage.
Via the OPUS Würzburg repository, you can make secondary publications, doctoral theses, and other research outputs openly accessible quickly and with minimal effort. Through the Open Access publisher Würzburg University Press, we provide professional support for series, edited volumes, and monographs—from formal review through to publication. All titles are published Open Access and, where required, are also available in print.
We offer advice on all aspects of Open Access publishing and inform you about funding opportunities, for example through the Publication Fund of the Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg.
Using WueData, the institutional research data repository, or the JMU Data Journals, you can publish your research data in accordance with the FAIR principles, with the option of peer review.
Across all these services, your outputs are assigned persistent identifiers and remain permanently citable.
Register for an ORCID iD via ORCID, an independent, non-profit organisation.
Creating a profile is free of charge and offers a significant advantage: all your publication records are clearly and unambiguously linked to your name and can be reliably identified.
Please note:
- All research results published via our Open Science services are assigned a DOI and can therefore be clearly referenced and cited.
- Our services are aligned with the Open Science Policy of the JMU(PDF, 191KB) and the Guidelines for Safeguarding Good Scientific Practice(PDF, 297KB) of the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG).
