Due to the 15th Bavarian Infection Protection Measures Ordinance of 23.11.2021, the following conditions of use apply at Würzburg University Library:

Access to the University Library (Main Library and departmental libraries) is only possible for fully vaccinated or recovered persons (2G). Please show appropriate proof at the entrance without being asked and also identify yourself with an official photo ID.

In the University Library - as in all university buildings - it is compulsory to wear an FFP2 mask. An FFP2 mask must also be worn at the learning and computer workstations and in the study rooms.

The study rooms as well as the learning and computer workstations must be reserved online in advance.

All online services are available without restrictions. We recommend that all members and students of the university primarily use our wide range of e-books, e-journals and databases.

In this departmental library, you will find specialist literature on chemistry and pharmacy. The entire departmental library collection can be searched via the catalogue.

The shelf marks of these items start with  "600/".

Against the background of the spread of the coronavirus, the University Library of Würzburg has implemented the specification of the Bavarian State Ministry of Science and Art. This measure is intended to protect users and staff and to slow down the spread of the coronavirus. We ask for your understanding for these measures in view of the current exceptional situation.

Book lending by advance order - access only with proof of vaccination or convalescence (2G) - collection only with FFP2 mask

In order to supply the university with literature, the departmental library will offer a lending service from 22.01.2021 during service hours Mon - Fri 09:00 - 12:00. If required, different collection times can be arranged.
The desired books must be ordered in advance by telephone (31-85369, 31-88365 or via tb-chemie@uni-wuerzburg.de).
Books can be returned during service hours or by arrangement, but can also be returned around the clock via the book return flap in the Main Library.

The loan period is usually 14 days.

Excluded from book collection and return are persons who show symptoms that indicate a COVID-19 disease such as cough, cold, sore throat, fever (>= 38.0°C), loss of smell and taste.

In the building, the wearing of a FFP2 mask is compulsory on all traffic routes. Please observe markings and walkways and keep a distance of 1,5 m from other people.

Health protection remains paramount! Please help us with consideration and flexibility so that we can continue to offer these services!

Note for lecturers:

The collection of books ordered by lecturers as well as the return of the books ordered by lecturers will continue to take place via the library. If necessary, via the mailboxes of the chairs.
