The most important databases for literature research in the field of English/ American studies are the MLA International Bibliography and the Annual Bibliography of English Language and Literature (ABELL). Both databases In addition to these two bibliographic databases, Proquest One Literature (LION) contains many other relevant primary and secondary sources on English/ American studies (electronic full text).
