Extended on-site usage options
10/16/2020From October 19, 2020, learning workstations will be available in the reading rooms of the Main Library at Hubland and the Wittelsbacherplatz Departmental Library. The opening hours will also be extended: the Central Library will be open Monday to Friday from October 19 from 9:00 to 19:00 hours, the Wittelsbacherplatz Departmental Library from 9:00 to 18:00 hours.

The number of available learning workplaces is limited due to the currently valid safety and hygiene regulations. In order to ensure follow-up in case of infection, the learning workstations must be reserved in advance via a ticket system. The learning workstations can only be booked and used by individuals. Due to the currently high infection rates, mouth-nose-masks are also compulsory at the workstations in the reading room until further notice.
In the reading rooms of the Main Library at Hubland, up to 129 learning workstations can be occupied at the same time; they can be used in two shifts (9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m., 2:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.) and are available exclusively for students of the University of Würzburg. In the reading room West 1 there are a further 26 short-term learning workstations, which can be booked by all library users in four shifts (9:00 - 10:30, 11:00 - 13:00, 14:00 - 16:00, 16:30 - 19:00).
In the Wittelsbacherplatz Departmental Library, students of the University of Würzburg can book 57 learning workstations per time window (9:00 - 13:00, 14:00 - 18:00).
Special collections can still be viewed by appointment in the reading room Special Collections. It is also still possible to reserve computer workstations for literature research in the Information Center by appointment.
