Services from March 15th, 2021: Book lending by advance order - collection only with FFP2 mask

In order to supply the University with literature, the departmental library will offer a book lending service from 22.01.2021 during service hours Mon - Fri 08:00 - 12:00.

The desired books must be ordered in advance by e-mail. They can be collected the next day (Mon - Fri). If a book is currently not available, you will of course be informed in advance by e-mail. In addition, we will check the possibility of making the book available to you in an alternative way - e.g. by purchasing another copy.

Please send your book orders by e-mail to the Departmental Library for Business Management and Economics.
When ordering, please be sure to state your user number (it starts with 079...) as well as the author, title and shelfmark (starting with 800/...) for each of the books you want.

In order to speed up the issue of books, the loan slips are already filled in when the books are collected. The loan slips only need to be signed and placed in the box provided for this purpose. The loan period is usually 14 days.

There is also a box for returning books in the entrance area of the departmental library. Please only return books that you have borrowed from the departmental library. Unfortunately, the return of books from the Main Library exceeds the available transport capacity. Please return books from the Main Library there as well. The book returns box of the Main Library is open around the clock.

Access to the entrance area of the departmental library is limited to a maximum of 1 person. A FFP2 mask must be worn when collecting the books.

Excluded from book pick-up and return are persons exhibiting symptoms indicative of COVID-19 disease such as cough, cold, sore throat, fever (≥ 38.0°C), loss of smell and taste.

In the building, wearing a FFP2 ask covering is compulsory on all traffic routes. Please observe markings and walkways and keep a distance of 2 m from other people.

Health protection remains paramount! Please help us with consideration and flexibility so that we can continue to offer these services!

Note for lecturers:

As already communicated, the collection of books ordered by lecturers as well as their return is done via the library administration, if necessary via the mailboxes of the chairs.

Use of the EIKON database in the departmental library

Members of Würzburg University (students and staff) may access "EIKON" at one of the library's computers. It's strictly necessary to book a time slot in advance. Please call (0931/31-82903 or -82905) or send a booking request by mail.
