Off-campus access to databases, electronic journals and e-books

Off-campus access to databases, electronic journals and e-books which are licensed by the university is exclusively granted to

• faculty and staff of Würzburg University
• students of Würzburg University

The external off-campus access allows the use of the licensed material from any internet computer at home or other research institutes.

You need a User Id for the external access from the IT-Center (Rechenzentrum) of the university. University faculty and staff may download more information and the respective application form.

Off-campus access is available via:

• Web-based access (easiest off-campus access possibility, until June 1st 2011): via special access URL and user account for the external access from the IT-Center
• Installation of the VPN-Client: only necessary for:
  • CD-ROM-Server Bayern
  • SciFinder Scholar (Database with Client-based access)
• Internet access by the provider  DFN@HOME (http://www.rz.uni-wuerzburg.de/dienste/kommunikation/modemisdn/dfn_at_home/)
