Electronic Newspapers

A lot of national and international newspapers are available electronically in the university net, for example the New York Times, El Pais, the Süddeutsche Zeitung and many others.

Most of the electronic newspapers are available via the databases LexisNexis, Library PressDisplay, and Wiso Presse. The most important newspapers are listed individually in the database-information-system DBIS.

Electronic newspapers provided by the university library usually differ from free online-versions, like www.sueddeutsche.de or www.faz.net.
While publishers usually offer only a range of articles and charge extra costs for back issues, the library provides the full text of today’s printed issue and of prior issues.

Off-campus access is available to most newspapers.
