
Databases are for searching information of all kind independent of the holdings of the library.
Depending on the type of a database you find:Information about books and articles (bibliographic databases)
• To check if the references you found are available in the university library please search our catalogue respectively the Electronic Journals Library. For that purpose you can use the linking service SFX.
• Books and articles in electronic full text as well as facts (Full text and factual databases)
A large amount of databases is made available via the university computer network or as stand-alone databases. You find the complete offer of all databases available at the University of Würzburg in our Database Information System DBIS.
To learn about searching in subject-specific databases you can attend one of the training courses we offer at fixed dates. If required we offer special arrangements as well. You will also find a number of e-tutorials for private online study.
